Vintage Viners Studio canteen cutlery 38 pieces in original box 6 place setting
A vintage Viners Studio canteen of cutlery, designed by Gerald Benney. The set is basically a 6 place-setting. However, there is one soup spoon missing, and one serving spoon extra. So, the set comprises 38 pieces as follows.
The pieces are all in very good, lightly used condition. STAINLESS STEEL STUDIO VINERS OF SHEFFIELD ENGLAND. The knives are just marked. "Viners of Sheffield STAINLESS ENGLAND". The canteen box is the original.
The exterior is quite tatty but the inside is very neat and clean, and it holds all the pieces very well. The knives are held in place at the bottom with hard plastic clips - so much better than the usual method of knife'keeps' in most canteens. The knives just don't move once in place.
